Hi, I’m Michelle, founder of Riverlight Consulting.

I’ve spent over 20 years working in HR operations, supporting growing organizations through the day-to-day processes that keep businesses running smoothly behind the scenes. My background includes documentation, compliance, payroll, benefits, onboarding, HR systems, and operational support across multi-site and multi-state environments.

A large part of my experience comes from working in California, where employment laws and compliance requirements are constantly evolving. That experience helped shape my organized, documentation-first approach to HR and gave me a strong understanding of the importance of creating clear processes and consistent systems as businesses grow.

Over the years, I noticed the same challenge come up again and again — businesses growing quickly while their HR processes struggled to keep up. Documentation becomes inconsistent, onboarding varies from person to person, payroll and benefits processes become difficult to manage, and important details start falling through the cracks.

That’s why I created Riverlight Consulting.

My goal is to help businesses create more structure, organization, and consistency behind the scenes so they can focus on running and growing their business with confidence.
